Wolfgang Mercier is the Founder and CEO of UnisonSteadfast AG. With over 40 years of experience in the international insurance industry, he  has spent more than two decades building and developing an international network that has grown into one of the largest independent brokerage networks worldwide.

In June 2017, the unison network—originally known as unisonBrokers—announced a strategic alliance with Steadfast  Group and was subsequently rebranded as UnisonSteadfast AG.

In  addition to his extensive expertise in structuring and leading international networks, Wolfgang’s specialist areas include  international marine business, international liability—particularly for automotive suppliers—global insurance programs, and construction  projects.

Wolfgang began his career as a Marine Broker at Willis Faber in London and went on to work for several globally operating companies across Europe, China, and Japan. These include Funk International GmbH Insurance Brokers, R+V Insurance Group, and  Wesselhoeft Ahlers & Schuess (later AON Jauch & Hübener).

Muriel Mercier started her insurance career at UnisonSteadfast in  2012 during her Business Administration BA studies at BSP Business & Law School. After building and further developing practical skills in  the Finance and Account Management Departments and becoming Junior Manager, she took on the position of Head of Business Organization in  2018. As a Project Manager, she has been supervising several projects  from IT and marketing to claims and risk management.

In 2020,  Muriel was appointed Director Business Development and has since been responsible for the following business areas: Quality Management, Data  Protection, Marketing & PR, Process Management, Sales &  Distribution Management and Risk Management.

Furthermore, she is actively involved in client management on an operational level and  serves as the first contact point for Steadfast Group Australia and its  network brokers.

In January 2026, Muriel assumed the role of Vice President of UnisonSteadfast AG.

Rolf Diekhoff is Director of Account Management at the headquarters of UnisonSteadfast AG in Hamburg, Germany.

He has been with UnisonSteadfast since its founding in June 2005 and has played a key role in the company’s development and the expansion of its network. Before joining UnisonSteadfast, he served as an operative team leader at a consulting firm specializing in international insurance business.

His academic background is in economics, with a focus on macroeconomics.

Born and raised in Japan and Hong Kong, he later worked as an entrepreneur in Sub-Saharan Africa and traded futures in nonferrous metals as a certified broker of the London Metal Exchange before entering the insurance industry.
